Dear badminton fans, dear players, dear guests!

The Bitburger SaarLorLux Open are a traditional arrangement. The 23-rd edition is at the same time, however, a new beginning. With 2010 the tournament belongs in the Saarbrucken Saarland hall to the world series. A rise which can be also read in the participant field.

Two days after the finale of the badminton world championships in Paris the Bitburger SaarLorLux Open are the next station of the best players. The world champions live see – never it was as easy as this year in Saarbrucken.

For the European élite with the badminton stars from England, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, France and Germany this tournament the possibility is to be appeared in the world point.

I credit the German participants around the titleholder Juliane Schenk that they can play a very good role during this tournament. Saarbrucken stands for high-class badminton sport, the Bitburger SaarLorLux Open in 2010 will prove this.

And – also this is a tradition – the Saarland broadcasting company will accompany the high-class tournament on television and radio. I wish the organizers of the tournament a lot of success at the organisation. The fans and spectators in the Saarbrucken Saarland hall will be able to experience exciting and high-class plays.
